Meet Jake!

Jake

Jake is a 10-year-old Australian Red Heeler with a bit of Chihuahua mixed in. He's an easy-going dog, always happy to meet and greet people. He's friendly to everyone he meets.

When Jerrie Hall, associate director and head of technical services at the OSU-Tulsa Library, first met Jake at a local PetsMart, it was love at first sight. His soft coat and the way he snuggled was all it took to convince her to take Jake home and care for him.

Jake loves to sit in his chair at the front window and watch people and other dogs walk by. He loves to go for walks and interact with people. He will always be glad to see you.

Jake loves to sit outside and relax in the grass -- and to chase the occasional rabbit that wanders into his yard. He's not particularly interested in toys, but he loves mini-Milk Bone treats.

Jake received his first Canine Good Citizen certification in January 2008, then pased the exam again in August 2015. He is looking forward to meeting and greeting everyone at OSU-Tulsa and OSU-CHS. Just petting Jake's soft coat will calm any stressed student, faculty or staff member.
